주거 프로젝트에서는 꼭 맞는 옷을 만들듯 그 곳에 살게될 사람의 생활에 편안하게 꼭 맞는 공간을 제안하는 것이 중요합니다.
수원시 행궁동은 아기자기한 골목길이 특징입니다. 집에서 창문을 열면 팔달산이 들어옵니다. 자연과 책과 고양이와 함께하는 일상을 공간에 녹이기 위해 시간을 천천히 쓰고싶어지는 책방을 상상했습니다. 천장을 노출시켜 층고를 높이면서 맞배지붕 아래 건물의 본래 모습을 살리고, 새롭게 덧대는 재료는 따뜻한 분위기를 살리기 위해 많은 부분 나무를 사용했습니다.

In a residential projects, it is important to propose a space that fits comfortably in the lives of the clients as if they were wearing the right clothes.
Haenggung-dong in Suwon is characterized by its charming narrow streets. And through the window, Paldal mountain comes in.
We imagined an old bookstore where time stays, to spatially express the client’s peaceful everyday with the nature on the window and cats around. By exposing the ceiling, we brought lives to the forms and images of the original structures. When we chose new materials to be added, wood was a top priority to create warm, natural bookstore like mood.
